Ingredients:
Makes about 12 cookies:
- 125 g unsalted butter, softened
- 100 g brown sugar
- 50 g white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 180 g all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 150 g chocolate chips (dark or milk)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, then mix well until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Once fully combined, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Roll the dough into small balls (about the size of a walnut) and place them on the baking sheet, leaving some space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes before enjoying their warm, gooey goodness.
Tips:
- Substitute chocolate chips with white chocolate chunks or nuts for a twist.
- For extra chewy cookies, add a teaspoon of cornstarch to the dough.
